Naoki Yoshida is the Founder/ Event Director of Tokyo X, an initiative aimed at uniting the Japanese community in Houston through a blend of modern and traditional Japanese culture. With over 25 years of experience in Houston's diverse culinary scene, Yoshida, a Japanese American raised in Houston, established Tokyo X five years ago to address the need for authentic representation of Japanese culture.
Tokyo X focuses on introducing authentic food vendors from Japan and highlighting unique cultural activities that are often overlooked. This initiative not only fosters a deeper appreciation for Japanese heritage but also provides opportunities for cultural exchange. The team at Tokyo X has successfully brought guests from Japan to Houston, showcasing elements such as anime, traditional food, and entertainment, ensuring a comprehensive representation of Japanese culture in the community.
