About the event
This is the Ahwanaquot Family Reunion. We are an Indigenous family based out of Serpent River First Nation, but we have spread out all over Turtle Island. There will be about 100 people attending.
We plan on having game tournaments, children's activities, karaoke, and a talent show. Our theme for this reunion is "Past, Present, Future" and we will be sharing our stories and tending a sacred fire for our ancestors (so long as there are no burn bans).
We are looking for some help to pay for food and prizes. A hundred people over 3 days is a lot of food.

Why should you sponsor?
I know this is not the typical kind of event that you would normally sponsor, but we would be very grateful for your help! This is going to be the last reunion some of our elders will be around for, and you could help make it amazing. The optics would be nice for you as well, I think. Helping an Indigenous community would be a fantastic act of kindness.
Natalie McLeodMy name is Natalie, I am the daughter of (who is now) the Clan Elder. Along with a few cousins, I am in charge of fundraising, scheduling, and purchasing. This is the first time I have had to do so, so here I am, throwing it out there hoping for a bite! I live about 6 hours south of Serpent River, so we don't get to see the others as much as we'd like. We will have a fabulous time even if we can't get extra help, but imagine how amazing it would be if we could?
